ABOUT LISA OSTELLINO
Berkshires-based artist Lisa Ostellino works in multi media ink, watercolor, and soft pastels. Balancing representation and abstraction Ostellino is inspired by the natural world, universal energy and the connections made between all beings.
5 X 10 ART EXHIBITION ANNOUNCED
The 5×10 Art Exhibit features five artists, each displaying ten pieces. Berkshire residents, as well as current and former teachers Michael Boroniec, Mary Beth Eldridge, Lisa Ostellino, Barbara Patton and Colleen Quinn will be featured. The show runs from February 17-27, 2022 with an opening reception on Friday, February 18 from 6-8pm.
MASS MoCA
Two art teachers were singled out for Phoebe Pepper Awards, established in 2019 in honor of the visual arts instructor at Drury High School and awarded to those teachers who helped in facilitating the previous event. This year's honors went to Erica Manville of Drury and Lisa Ostellino of Pittsfield High School. "These grants are intended to go to their own individual artistic practices. So please know that in the gallery there are the teachers' artwork as well. So these these are not only teachers but they're artists and creative beings, too," Thompson said.
